Superbowl 2015

As born and raised Steeler fans, we were not thrilled with this year's lineup for the Superbowl.  None the less, it was a great excuse to host a Superbowl Party!  In lieu of showing team spirit, we opted to dress as refs.

We were more focused on the food!  Calories do not count on football Sundays.  The highlight of our display was a nacho and cheese bar complete with all of the toppings.  Brats, veggie dip, taco dip and Brian's personal favorite, football bacon cheese, were the other options for the evening.

A Superbowl party would not be complete without an open bar.  The signature cocktails for the evening included Sangria (red for Patriots) and Mojitos (green for Seahawks).  We had each guest pick a team at the start of the game, when their team scored shots of Pelinkovac were served.  Plinky shots are a tradition in our hometown for Steeler scores therefore a football party at our house would not be complete without it!

Last but not least, we included a game for our guests.  Commercial BINGO!  Each person had a board and prizes were given to the first 3 people to successfully get bingo.  Since the guests were all impartial to the teams, the game allowed us to remain focused on something other than football.

Overall we had a really fun party.  The highest compliment was the nomination by our friends to host superbowl parties every year.  We really enjoy themed parties and never pass up an opportunity to host!
