Fish Fry Fail

If I don't make dinner, we will typically find a seafood restaurant to try for dinner on Friday's during Lent.  We think back to the days in Pittsburgh and remember the Economy Fire Hall fish fry's.  There has to be something like that here in Texas right?   Usually we don't know or see any places hosting a fish fry, but this past week we found a church here in Katy that advertised one.

Why not try it out?

Amanda arrived home from work and we did what any normal young couple in their 30's would do on a Friday night... we headed to the church fish fry for a 5:30 dinner!

We both ordered the fish plate with fries.  The fish was edible.  The breading was either undercooked or burned on each of our plates.  I guess they were giving everyone a variety of terrible fish.  They were also distributing "complimentary" corn and green beans as sides to everyone which were obviously leftovers from last years fish fry and reheated for dinner today.

Over all, we would give this fish fry a 1 out of 5.  We will never be returning.

I'm excited to be here... or maybe it's the Walmart Great Value ketchup.

After the movie we stopped at the Redbox and rented Gone Girl with Ben Affleck.
Pretty sweet movie.  Definitely recommend watching if you have not seen it.
